This six-night escape opens on the KwaZulu-Natal coast and closes deep in the bush — or the other way around, since the order of your journey is entirely up to you.
Three nights are spent at The Oyster Box, in one of its beautifully appointed sea-facing rooms overlooking the Indian Ocean. Mornings begin with a breakfast of freshly harvested oysters and sparkling wine; one evening, a complimentary curry buffet for two awaits at the hotel — a nod to Durban's Indian heritage that's become something of an institution here. A complimentary scheduled shuttle runs to the Gateway Theatre of Shopping for those who want to explore beyond the promenade, and every transfer — from King Shaka International Airport, and on to your bush stay — is arranged in one of the hotel's own luxury vehicles.
From the coast, the journey turns inland to mFulaWozi, a private reserve spanning over 16,000 hectares in the heart of KwaZulu-Natal, where you'll spend three nights immersed in an experience that feels both vast and deeply personal. Biyela Lodge: The Pinnacle of Hillside Luxury — Recognised as the Best Luxury Safari Lodge in KZN, Biyela is an oasis of privacy and eco-luxury. Its twelve standalone suites are built into the hillside, each commanding sweeping, uninterrupted views of the White iMfolozi River floodplain. Most suites feature their own private plunge pool, where you can soak in the panorama as wildlife traverses the plains below. The main lodge boasts a library and cocktail lounge, perfect for quiet reflection.

The Bush Experience | Dawn to Dusk
Your days are structured around the heartbeat of the bush: two game drives daily. At dawn, you'll venture out with expert guides, many of whom were raised in the surrounding communities and can read the land like a book. They know where the cheetah dens are and can recount the lineage of local lion prides, ensuring you witness the drama of the Big 5 in its most authentic form. Return for a gourmet lunch, then unwind with a Zulu-inspired massage at the secluded Africology Spa. As the sun dips, you'll set out again, perhaps pausing for a sundowner before returning to the lodge to gather around the fire pit, sharing stories under a canopy of stars so clear, it feels within reach.

Not suitable for disabled travellers as game vehicles are not adapted
