Machaba Camp

Situated in the game rich Khwai area on the eastern tongue of the Okavango Delta, lies the sophisticated Machaba Camp. The setting is exquisite and guests will fall in love with the understated elegant colonial architeture of Machaba. Wake up to the sounds of hippo wallowing in the Delta and enjoy outdoor dining on the banks of the Khwai.

Ten luxury tents with en-suite bathrooms and outdoor showers are located between tall riverine trees. Each of the tents have views of the Delta and the Moremi Game Reserve. From these tented verandas one can watch the daily parade of animals coming down to drink at the river in front of camp. Machaba, despite its obvious luxury is still an affordable camp.

Gomoti Plains Camp

Set within a community-run concession on the southeastern edge of the Okavango Delta, the Gomoti Plains region takes its name from the Gomoti River system that winds through this remarkable wilderness. The Gomoti tree — locally known as the water fig — flourishes along the waterways and floodplains of the Delta, often appearing as a modest bush-like tree despite its resilience. This rich ecosystem supports exceptional concentrations of wildlife, drawn to the fertile plains, permanent channels, and seasonal floodwaters that define the area.

Overlooking one of the smaller floodplains of the Gomoti river system, Gomoti Plains Camp offers an intimate safari experience immersed in the rhythms of the Delta. Framed by towering palms and shaded riverine vegetation, the camp’s elegant canvas tents combine eco-conscious luxury with authentic wilderness charm. Both land and water-based safari activities provide outstanding game viewing opportunities, allowing guests to experience this vibrant landscape from every perspective.

Kiri Camp

Named after the Kiri Channel that flows gently past the island on which the camp is built, Kiri Camp offers an immersive Okavango Delta experience in one of the region’s most pristine and remote settings. Elevated on wooden walkways and decks, the camp overlooks the expansive Kiri floodplains, with sweeping views stretching out into the surrounding wilderness. Designed to blend naturally into the ebony forest that shelters the camp, the architecture makes use of timber, canvas, and natural reeds to create an atmosphere that is both luxurious and deeply connected to the environment.

Situated within a private concession, Kiri Camp combines exceptional land and water-based safari experiences, granting access to quieter, less-travelled areas of the Delta. During peak flood season, motorboat excursions offer a captivating way to explore the waterways and encounter wildlife from the river itself, while traditional mokoro safaris provide a slower, more intimate perspective as guests glide silently through lily-lined channels at water level. The Kiri region is renowned for its rich diversity of wildlife, particularly its impressive predator activity, strong buffalo populations, and exceptional sightings of the endangered African wild dog.
