Location

The Waterberg Biosphere

This Cedric Dold hosted safari unfolds within the protected bushveld of the Waterberg Biosphere, a region of ancient mountains, open savannah, and quiet river systems in South Africa’s Limpopo Province. Over six days, guests are guided through a landscape rich in diverse wildlife and home to the Big 7.

Your stay is based at Kingfisher Villa Suites, a private villa retreat set within the reserve. Here, the experience is fully inclusive. Days begin with soft light over the plains and continue with guided wildlife encounters, reflective time at the lodge, and evenings gathered around the fire.

Hosted by Cedric Dold, this journey brings together travellers who value nature, conservation, and shared discovery. Alongside expertly guided safaris, guests gain rare insight into Safari LIVE through a dedicated experience with the WildEarth crew.

This exclusive group safari promises amazing adventures and stunning wildlife in the malaria-free Waterberg, just two hours drive from Johannesburg.

Kwafubesi Tented Camp

Tucked away in the tree line on the edge of the magnificent Mvubu plain in the 12 000 hectare Mabula Private Game Reserve. The luxurious en-suite tents have been designed with soft furnishings in strong hues of rich African colour and are raised on platforms in order to maximize privacy.

This is the ideal location to venture out on a bush walk or horseback safari. After the morning activities, laze around the pool or retreat to your tent and leave the stress of the outside world behind. The evening game drive with sundowners is followed by home cooked dinner in the Lapa.

Only a two hour drive from Johannesburg, in the Malaria Free Waterberg Area, Kwafubesi promises to bring you close to nature.
