About Shaun.

I have been exploring the African bush since 2008, travelling extensively through South Africa's wild and varied landscapes — from the Drakensberg to the coastline, and across many of the country's national parks and private reserves. What began as a personal passion for the outdoors has grown into a deep, lived understanding of Africa's wilderness, shaped by experiencing it alongside my wife and children from the time they were infants.

Of all that South Africa offers, it is the bush that has captured my heart. Sharing it as a family has given me rare, practical insight into designing safaris that are both refined and deeply authentic.

I approach every itinerary with meticulous care and genuine enthusiasm — balancing authenticity, comfort, and the details that elevate an experience from memorable to exceptional.

I am passionate about connecting my two homes — bringing the wild heart of South Africa to Israeli travellers.

Growing up with South Africa’s majestic landscapes in my blood, and building my home and family here in Israel, I’ve always lived at the intersection of these two extraordinary worlds. For me, South Africa is more than just a destination; it’s a journey of breathtaking wilderness, vibrant culture, and world-class hospitality.

Raising my children in the Negev desert, I treasure watching them experience nature at its absolute best on our family safaris — whether it’s witnessing a mother cheetah moving her cubs to safety, finding ourselves surrounded by a gentle herd of elephants, or watching lions rest just a few hundred metres from our camp. These are the moments that stay with you for a lifetime.

As your personal advisor for Ritson Safaris Israel, my mission is to curate these experiences that will stay with you forever. Whether you are dreaming of an unforgettable family journey or an exclusive private retreat, I ensure every detail of your African adventure is seamlessly planned, deeply authentic, and meticulously tailored to your preferences.
